Overview

Lang Sen Vietnamese Cuisine stands out as a vibrant new addition to Canley Heights’ rich tapestry of Asian restaurants. Located conveniently on Canley Vale Road, this eatery masterfully blends authentic Vietnamese flavors with a contemporary dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the freshly renovated and spotless interior sets the tone for a welcoming and relaxed meal, ideal for both casual brunches and hearty lunches.

The menu at Lang Sen reflects the depth of traditional Vietnamese cuisine with standout dishes such as their bún bò Huế and phở tái. The bún bò Huế offers a clear, delicate broth with a perfect balance of spice delivered on the side, allowing diners to tailor the heat to their liking. Although the pork knuckle requires a bit of effort to cut through, the lighter, refined preparation makes it an approachable dish. Their phở features a rich, sweetened beef broth brimming with depth and quality cuts of meat, served in generous portions that cater well to those with a hearty appetite. This attention to broth quality distinguishes Lang Sen from its local contemporaries, avoiding the diluted flavors often encountered elsewhere.

Beyond the famed noodle soups, Lang Sen shines with traditional specialties such as bánh xèo — a crisp, golden pancake bursting with fresh shrimp and pork, complemented by fragrant herbs and dipping sauces that bring authentic Vietnamese street food right to your table. Fresh fruit teas and classic drinks like peach green tea and sugarcane juice add refreshing notes to the meal, rounding out the experience.

The restaurant’s ambiance contributes significantly to its appeal. The welcoming staff, attentive service, and manager Barry’s personal engagement create a warm environment that makes every visit memorable. Whether you’re a first-timer or a local returning guest, the care in customer hospitality is clear and genuine.

Lang Sen Vietnamese Cuisine caters to a broad audience—from families seeking wholesome brunch options to local food enthusiasts craving authentic Vietnamese fare in a clean, inviting space. The sizable portions and nuanced flavors make it a perfect choice for those who appreciate quality, tradition, and a touch of modern comfort.

In summary, Lang Sen is more than just another Vietnamese restaurant; it’s a culinary gem that retains the soul of traditional dishes while elevating the dining atmosphere. It’s a destination worth exploring, promising satisfying flavors and a welcoming place to savor them.

We were looking for somewhere to have brunch and saw Làng Sen restaurant, so new and nice. We used to have bún bò Huế at the older version of this restaurant (Gia Hội then Song Hỹ). We were greeted warmly when we came in and the service was excellent until we finished our meal and left. Bún Bò Huế was delicate, clear soup and very delicious, spicy sate was provided separately. The pork knuckle was quite tough, I had to use a scissor to cut the meat off the bone. This dish was lighter (not too spicy like the old versions) and much better to me. If the pork knuckle was softer and fell off the bone, I would rate it 6 out of 5. We also ordered Phở tái. The soup was a bit sweeter than the usual Phở. The serving was too big for us. Maybe a smaller size would be better for the oldies or kids. The restaurant has been renovated and looked beautiful and clean. That made our meal more enjoyable. Highly recommended. We will be back.

The pho had a good broth, sweeter than some other places but full of beef flavour. Serving size was large with generous portions of high quality meat which justifies the price being a tad higher than neighboring stores. Food came out quickly but they did forget a side item we ordered.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) A fantastic new gem in Canley Heights! This Vietnamese restaurant opened just 4 weeks ago. I came in for Sunday lunch and it was bustling with locals. I ordered the beef brisket and rare beef pho ($18) and was honestly blown away. It came in a huge, steaming bowl with rich, deep beef flavour — none of that watered-down broth you get at some other places in the area. The brisket was tender, and generous amount of rare beef. The pho came with fresh basil mint, and bean sprouts . Also, there were condiments on the table to let you tweak the flavours just how you like. Staff were friendly and attentive, and I’ll definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu. Hands down the best pho I’ve had in Canley Heights!

Vietnamese Bánh Xèo – A Wonderful Experience! I recently had the chance to try Vietnamese bánh xèo, and it was absolutely amazing! The pancake was perfectly crispy and golden, filled with fresh shrimp and pork, served with clean, fresh herbs and a perfectly balanced dipping sauce – truly the authentic taste of Vietnam. Not only was the food delicious, but the service from the staff and the manager, Barry, was also exceptional. Barry was incredibly friendly and attentive, always checking in with customers and paying attention to every detail. Thanks to him, the atmosphere felt so warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to my friends!

Please keep the same flavor of the pho as today. I really love this taste. You can see that my family ordered two dishes, and we finished everything — that’s how delicious it was. I will definitely come back to support this restaurant. From now on, I’ll be a loyal customer here.

Thanks for following the food adventure On today's episode, we check out a new spot doing great beef Pho in the area! Lang Sen Vietnamese Cuisine, Canley Heights I thought the Pho looked and tasted really familiar. It immediately reminded me of Me Pho in Bankstown, because of the charred spring onion and charred ball of thinly sliced rare beef you can find in the soup. For those who have tried, and who enjoy Me Pho, the soup here is more beefy and traditional-tasting, and a little less sweet and less smokey than Me Pho's. You'll know what I mean if you've tried both. Then today I found out from a friend who's been frequenting Lang Sen, that they're actually sister restaurants??? How about that! Price: $18-22 per person for noodle soups (we paid $22 for the special pho)
